The Baix Penedès region lies between the mountains and the sea to the north of the province of Tarragona. The terrain is rough, sandy, stony and rocky; very typical of the Mediterranean coastline. Olive, almond and carob trees share the landscape with the vineyards, which are generally distributed in small plots. These are bordered by numerous stone walls which are necessary to combat erosion and level uneven terrain on the hillsides, thus making the most of the available land for cultivation.

The climate is warm and typically Mediterranean with hot summers and moderately cool winters. One of the most important factors of our climate¾in fact, a determining one¾is the number of hours of sunlight. Most days are sunny which is beneficial both for working the vineyards and for ideal grape ripening. We truly believe that the climate in this region is ideal for cultivating vines of the highest quality. Rainfall is scarce, some 300-400 litres a year, but enough to ensure exceptional results in the vineyard.

Our extremely high regard for this region is not just because we were born here but also because it has enormous potential, as yet undiscovered, as a winemaking region.

The symbols on our wine labels are inspired by our surroundings (a cartwheel, a Margalló palm, a fox, a mastic-tree leaf, and references to the peak of Montmell and the Arc de Berà).
