JANÉ VENTURA NEGRE SELECCIÓ, 12 vinyes 2006

This wine is inspired in the tradition and modernity. We want it to be a wine with character, that reflects our environment and our history, and at the same time elegant, and very pleasant to drink. That’s why we use a blend of foreign and local grapes.

Vineyards: Originating from our vineyards al Mas Vilella and Finca Els Camps. We also select part of the grape harvest from other high quality vineyards, especially Ull de Llebre and Sumoll.
Varieties:
Ull de Llebre (“Tempranillo”) 40% Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Merlot (20%), Cabernet S. (20%), Sumoll (10%) and Syrah (10%).
Winemaking process: Manual harvest. Manual unloading which allows grape selection and leaf removal. Tempranillo and Syrah have a cool maceration pelliculaire. Controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 25ºC. Maceration: 12 days. Cask ageing: 10 months in French oak of 1, 2 and 3 years old. Bottling July 2008.
Tasting notes: Intense, brilliant cherry red colour. Complex and very elegant aroma, dominated by red fruits, liquorice, herbs, and mineral notes. Elegant and well-integrated wood. Structured in the mouth, very expressive, round, wide, persistent and mature tannins. 
Serving temperature: 16-18º C.
Evolution: Can be enjoyed until 2013 or 2014
