JANÉ VENTURA ROSAT 2006

With this rosé we wanted to make an elegant, refined and expressive wine. We used Ull de Llebre and Carinyena to convey a very refined sensation of red fruits, fresh and balanced. This wine shows character, freshness and complexity.

Varieties: Ull de Llebre (“Tempranillo”) (90%) and Carinyena (10%)
Winemaking process: Destemming, crushing and brief maceration of the skins with the must (around three hours). Clarification and controlled fermentation at 17ºC.
Tasting notes: An intense, brilliant cherry pink colour. Fresh, intense aroma. Primary aromas of wood, raspberries, pomegranates, red flowers and anise. A good attack in the mouth, wide, silky and refreshing with a balanced acidity. Long aftertaste.
Serving temperature: 6-8º C.
Evolution: Best enjoyed in 2007 or 2008
Label: As with our young white, we have designed a label showing a mastic tree leaf (Pistacia Lentiscus) but this time in a deep red to reflect the shrub’s colour in winter.
