This wine is inspired by our landscape and traditions. Thus, it speaks of our history and Mediterranean filiations and blends in beautifully vines, grape varieties –both local and foreign– and terroir.
The vineyard(s): Made from ten different vineyards, either owned by the property (Mas Vilella and Finca Els Camps) or by quality growers of the Baix Penedès area.
Grape Varieties: Ull de Llebre (“Tempranillo”) (30%), Merlot (30%), Syrah (20%) and Sumoll (20%).
Winemaking: Grapes are de-stemmed and crushed. The must undergoes a short (24-hour) skin-maceration process before racking and fermentation at a temperature of 17º C.
Tasting note: Brilliant raspberry rose colour. Fresh, fragrant nose with predominantly primary notes of strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, red flowers and aniseed. On the attack it shows a pleasant character, round and rich in fruit notes, with a balanced, refreshing acidity and a long aftertaste.
Label: Inspired by El Vendrell, our municipality, it represents a landscape that could just be that of any given town in El Penedès, our region, with the mountains in the background. The small tables represent the informal social gatherings typical of a small town’s convivial life, which usually happen in the main square or the high street.
